Neda entered my awareness in the guise of the alluring "Jazar" in "Shaft in Africa" (1973), which it was my pleasure to screen - at age 16 - in a theater on Broadway in rundown, downtown Newburgh, NY. Apparently, based on the audience of about a dozen (all African-American), I was one of maybe one Richard Roundtree fan in the whole area who just happened to be a practicing white, 10th-grade geek.Neda Arneric
